ARMOR Marine is your aluminum boat repair and repowering specialist. With a focus on aluminum fabrication and welding-based repairs, our team of skilled experts is here to give your old boat new life.

If you have a larger vessel, it can be hauled right here in Anacortes Washington. From there it can be transferred with a gantry to our large indoor facility just down the road from the water. Unlike most competitors, our facility has an extremely tall bay door that can easily allow travel lift’s to come right in. It can also hold vessels up to 100′ in length!

How It Starts

This catamaran was brought to us in poor shape by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. This vessel came to us underpowered, underjetted, and non-operable. Due to poor propulsion sizing and integration, this vessel had been out of service for years. It barely went 2 knots and had to be trucked into our shop.

Planning and Preperation

Our repair process starts with creating a highly detailed CAD to maximize efficiency and help prevent errors on the floor. After this, our talented crew instantly gets to work. Removing the old engines, creating new offshore bracket pods, improving the layout, redecking, creating new fuel tanks and a new fuel system, rewiring, and more!

The new repair starts to take shape. Newly fabricated aluminum fuel tanks, flooring, and more are installed and seamlessly integrated into the existing hull. The differences from where it started are clear as day. With the addition of a new dive ladder and catwalk, as well as optimizing the design for dive operations, the vessel’s repairs are finished. After some rigorous inspections, it is ready to be back on the water.

Here is the finished result! Just take a look at those beautiful twin outboards and the shiny new aluminum. The completed vessel was taken directly out of our shop using a travel lift. After testing in our local Anacortes Bay waters, we were thrilled to find that its performance was better than ever before.
